Leta, it is great to see the 'old' cast back and the 'old' Danny Messer back (that i have missed for ages!), the only 'jaw dropping' moments that i had was the epi as a whole and Carmine's performance with AJ, they do scenes so well together and i hope they do more! |
That's what I mean! They have this stellar cast and when they write things that make them shine, they should do it. I wasn't aware of the acting chops that AJ had, but he had me stunned. I was amazed and he brought a dimension to Adam that I hadn't expected. I loved his scenes with Carmine, who is just the bees knees on screen. It was just nice to see the smart assed Danny show up for the finale. Oh how I missed him so... It also kind of sets my heart up for a disappointment because I'm worried that they'll forget everything they did in this one episode and then we'll go back to Carmine languishing in the love story and not really showing Danny dealing with Louie.. Remember him? Seems the writers don't Oh yeah! And his hand... There's a joke about Lindsay somewhere in there, but I'll behave.
I've resolved that the writers want Lindsay Monroe to be Danny's p.o.a. and not much more. So, she comes in and tinkers with evidence in between getting carpet/felt burn on her butt from the pool table. She's the lover who makes the opening credits... Congratulations! And I know that Anna Belknap just had a baby. I applaud her for daring to strip to her undies so soon after and she looked great, but honestly... Her stripping Carmine down was the most action she's gotten since she's been back. Seriously!
But... the finale did soften the blow of Jericho being cancelled for me, so I'm all right... My estrogen night has been cut by an hour, but I'll live.

Carmine stripped down every week *gulp*. I think they'll have a fainting epidemic spreading the world - there's not enough docs and nurses as there is.
Check out the pictures thread - for a little something that might make you smile. It certainly made my mother blush!!! _________________

Edit: I came back at the wrong/right time and read someone's irate reply to this post. I'm more than willing to retract this statement, if I'm wrong. I'm adult about it. But, I saw what I saw and if you're willing to just give it a second glance, maybe you can understand how I saw it the way that I did. It's truly nothing to get so angry about. And I still think that Anna Belknap looked great in that scene, whether it was a double or not. It's okay to disagree... You didn't have to delete your post.
We're all fans of Carmine and his work, right? Does that mean that we're not at liberty to dislike certain aspects of it? Do I have to stop being a fan of Carmine's because I don't like D/L? That raises quite a problem for some people. I just want to make it clear that I'm a fan of Carmine's... a huge one. I love the passion in his work... the passion he presents in his work that makes me care about it. I feel Carmine has gotten the shorter end of the proverbial stick to have his character packaged, if you will, with Anna Belknap's Lindsay. That's what I feel... Both actors deserve better, in my opinion. That's my opinion... Danny is a terrific independent character that Carmine has spoiled me with great acting from the first time I paid attention to him. They never gave Anna Belknap that opportunity with Lindsay, in my opinion.
I don't mean to make anyone upset because I like D... not so much of L. But really, I'm a fan of C. So, I'll delete the original post that was here. I'm not one for 'internet debates' because taking the high road is always nicer. BTW, my compliment to Anna Belknap still stands. She looked great in her love scene with Carmine.

Thank you Leta! I've mentioned this on other boards, and I'll mention it here, due to the high irksome factor: TPTB honestly expect us to believe Danny will fly to Montana for Montana, yet he won't hail a cab, ride his motorcycle, drive an NYPD vehicle or take the subway across the city to visit Louie or Louie's grave? Besides, he could actually walk to the hospital, because it's NY and not LA. What's up with that?

Don't even get me started on the lack of quality work for Anna right now. Anna returned from maternity leave. "Lindsay" just returned from testimony in a high-profile Montana case. There's no on-screen explanation for her lack of "action." Hopefully in S4 we'll see Montana-bred Lindsay emerge from her emotional prison and begin to tackle suspects and carry her knife again.

Jericho's been renewed, Leta! http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/news/e3i1fbd7aa8c79323f84f7449455f2dd8f9?imw=Y

I wasn't on the board since May 10. My bad . I don't know what went down, but here's my $.02: "Internet debates" merely serve to bring down a board's morale. Let's not go there. Focus on the positive . We don't want the board to become a "ghost town," because Dorka has invested too much time and effort here. _________________

That was another observation about the season. Danny never uttered his brother's name this season, if I'm not mistaken. Edward Furlong/Shane Casey was the only person that I remember saying his name. Danny spoke about the history of the relationship, but nothing else. Now I feel like a jerk because Hung Out To Dry came on last Wednesday and I didn't watch it and fell asleep on the show that I did watch. Does anyone know if Danny said Louie's name at all this season?

THAT was when she was most interesting to me. I think her lack of work thus far is to spend more time with her baby, so she must work 4 hours a day or something. I changed my stance on that a bit because she could be nursing or something. 'Lack of quality work' is a two edged sword here and if I elaborate, that'll get people up in arms... But I thought that went all around this season. At the beginning of the season, you had so many good episodes and a great pace going, but it slowed up until the last three or four episodes. TPTB definately set the cruise control too low during much of this past season.

Excellent News! I love this show so much. Glad for that. Great writing & cast... too bad they killed Johnston off. It was easier for me to take when they announced the show was cancelled. Now, he'll be sorely missed from the show. Go figure. Hopefully, they'll say he just passed out from loss of blood... In any event, Estrogen Night has been restored in its fullness!!

That's why I stay away from them. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with a good internet debate, when in the right environment. But I've recognized the fact that, people get up in arms over your disagreement to their opinion, as if you were trying to invalidate their opinion. Just because I don't see it the same way as you doesn't mean that you're wrong. I just have a different opinion, simple. I'd hate to think the world is full of drones who thought the same way. But, I'm just going to make myself a drone and not disagree with anyone anymore.

Dorka has put in a ton of work here and we can't forget that. I 'disagree' with you about the board becoming a "ghost town". There's a bunch of people here who keep things going. We have a nice board here and there's always something to post about, Carmine related or not.

^ MariaMadrid, "jaw-dropping" is the same as "shocking," except possibly to a greater degree. Does that make sense? _________________
