For those of you who don't understand the Danny/Lindsay pairing, Anthony Zuiker explains why he put them "together"

Zuiker discusses the relationship between Lindsay (Anna Belknap) and Danny (Carmine Giovinazzo), saying there is something in Lindsay’s past that causes her to gravitate towards Danny. Her past led her to become a CSI and viewers will understand it at the end of the season. Zuiker describes Belknap’s portrayal as “jaw-dropping.”

Okay, don't even get me started on this... Wink

I didn't see any jaw-dropping performance and I still DON'T see the connection between Lindsay's past and Danny. *scratches head* What's the murder of her high-school friend has to do with her choosing Danny???

Maybe someone else can enlighten me on this.

My thoughts exactly Orison, i dont get it either. Ok so us Brits are still a little bit behind on season 3 to the States, but i have seen a little bit of when Danny goes to Montana and i still dont get why they have put this odd couple together (my opinion Very Happy ) and how her past interacts with Danny??!!

Come on Mr Zuiker, help us out a little bit more here as my jaw hasnt dropped yet!! Very Happy

Looks like Zuiker had one too many blue smarties when he said Anna Belknap is "jaw dropping".

Yes, Mr. Zuiker, I'm with K on this and help us fans out please and explain when and how she's exactly jaw dropping Confused

Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

I'm trying to be optimistic here... When I first saw the 'jaw dropping' comment, I laughed a bit. I'm hoping maybe the writers have some big surprise that I'm least expecting. I've been trying to stay off of saying Anna Belknap is a weak actress and am trying to stay with her being stuck with bad writing. But when you start trying to BS me with bologna like 'jaw dropping'... That's taking it too far. I've watched a season where the writers tried to redeem themselves by giving her that whole trial and backstory and it didn't work. Lindsay going through that experience makes me feel nothing but indifferent, yet a bit hopeful that the writers will finally assess her as an actress, find what makes Lindsay worthy of being in the opening credits (other than getting in Danny's pants) and work on that. Go back to why Mac bought her to New York. Tell us more about the case that Mac mentioned in Zoo York, where she was an expert. Tell us about her career because the personal life stuff isn't working.

Sorry to say it, but a better actress could have pulled off the weak 'guy guns down my friends with no motive other than he hated the song on the jukebox' storyline. Hell, Melina made the 'Frankie going nuts and attacking her out of nowhere and with no motivation whatsoever' storyline work. There was no build up to that, other than her gasping at her computer screen and the next thing you know, he was nuts. She didn't even confront him about it, which was unlike Stella. That's an example of a great actress making a weak story work and saving the asses of the writers.

I didn't mean to go long on this post, but I got a good chuckle out of that because I'm not sure if Anna Belknap is capable of anything 'jaw dropping', either based on her acting or the writing I'm seeing. Again, not totally ragging on her acting, but in another thread, I asked about her acting in other things and no one really has an answer. So, is THIS an improvement or no? Oh well, thanks for that laugh..

Now, I revert to trying to be impartial. Razz

I think he's referring to the season finale when he's talking about her "jaw dropping" performance. So, we still have yet to see it.

Wait, aren't they still filming it? How old is this interview?

It says end of season, so I assumed it had to be the season finale. I could be wrong. I sure hope he wasn't talking about when she was in court. I think it's a fairly new interview, although I'm not 100% sure. I know they wrap the season in a week or 2.

That's what I know, which is why I found weird that AZ was talking about something that isn't even filmed yet. Like you, I hope he's not referring to the courtroom scene because uh, that was anything BUT jaw-dropping.

Since he said "end of season" there might be something else, and I'm really curious about these last four episodes. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Smile

I hate dragging up old threads, but since tonight is the night of the finale, I have to remind everyone that we have to get ready for Anna Belknap to drop our jaws. I'm so ready. Very Happy I want to like her character, so I really need her to 'drop my jaw' tonight. Wink

From the promos, I think we're in for a fun ride. I cannot wait! Very Happy

Uhm, I have to admit I'm looking forward to the finale for a dozen different reasons and Anna's definitely not one of them... Wink *ducks from flying objects*

With all due respect, I'm not sure I can expect a "jaw-dropping" performance from her. Danny's storyline on the other hand... *rubs hands excitedly* that's something I can't wait to watch!!!

Ive just watched the finale on youtube and i have to say, it was BRILLIANT!!! I loved it. Carmine was brilliant, he played the part so well and it was very believeable, with the pain that he was in and Aj played a brilliant part. It was nice to see him as one of the main characters for a change!

I dont want to give too much away, as the rest of the Brits havent got that far yet, but i couldnt wait!!

Lets just say, its worth the wait and ill will be very surprised if anyone thinks any different! Very Happy

I love Mac and Peyton, im more of a fan of theirs than Danny and Lindsay and i had a tear in my eye at the end, so another box of tissues were out (again!) Laughing

I've been trying to be good and not talk about the whole 'jaw dropping' performance because I know that a lot of people haven't seen this episode yet. I'll just say that this entire episode was jaw dropping and those characters who I knew would shine in the finale... did. I was very pleased with the finale.

Most of my complaints were satisfied. More Hawkes. More Adam. Minimal Lindsay. Empowered Stella. Old Danny. Out in the field Flack. Arc of emotion Mac. Can't say I was displeased in any way.

I reckon the only 'jaw-dropping' performance that Anna gave in the season finale was getting her top off and pleasing the lads.

Lozza i agree about Lindsay! lol Apart from her taking her top off for the lads, i cant see how this was a 'jaw dropping' performance on her part at all. Did i miss something?! Confused

Leta, it is great to see the 'old' cast back and the 'old' Danny Messer back (that i have missed for ages!), the only 'jaw dropping' moments that i had was the epi as a whole and Carmine's performance with AJ, they do scenes so well together and i hope they do more! Very Happy
