That's it...I think I'm just gonna have to break down and get it from amazon....

I have to be honest and say that I didn't care for the entire movie. Confused I admit that I fast forwarded to the scenes that feature Carmine. Laughing I think he was in it for maybe 10 minutes total. BUT, you get to see his butt, him sing and dance a little.

Maybe you can see clips of him on YouTube...

Sidenote: He actually says "I need her, I do...". My bad. Still funnier than all hell. Laughing

TRS, I completely agree that the song went beyond expectations. It blew any expectations I had to smithereens (another great band ... I digress). However, I guess I'm a dork, because I was a little partial to the song on his personal website, as well. Embarassed

Leta, I'm on board in thinking we'd be doing a disservice if we liked the music simply because we were Carmine's fans. Yes, there is a fan base built in due to NY, but the other band members bring their fans also. That's the draw that lures the audience, but the guys must be good to keep them there. Also, I don't want their audience to be limited to fangirls and bubblegum-chomping teenyboppers. That would suck beyond belief. As for the band's sound, I hope they don't limit themselves to the same thing on every song.

Some of the comments on the front page were a little less than complimentary. You know what ... Carmine's finally accomplished the music dream, so I say let him live it.

OT: TRS, I've seen BHSK and thought Carmine and Sean Hayes were both great. I love Sean. I think he'd be a great guest star on NY. Something tells me he could pull off dramatic in a heartbeat. As for the BSB, I'm a fan too. I'll go put the paper bag over my head now. Wink

I'll keep poking around youtube. I've only seen the clip where Sean and that girl (no idea what her name is) go up to him on the boat while he's taking a leak off the side. It was, at most, a minute long clip. I would love to see him do the song, so, maybe, eventually, I'll get around to buying it.

I do like Sean Hayes too, so I think I might buy it because of him as well. I think he's a riot.

I agree, I hope they don't just have the Carmine fans. I saw that one girl who kept posting on the pictures was a fan of John, so it's nice to see that it's not just Carmine that's pulling in a fan base.

...PrettyEyes...thanks for backing me on the BSB haha. I went and bought their new CD today, and I have their talk show performances DVR'd...I'm such a dork haha.

And the song he had on his site, I did like that too, haha, all 30 seconds of it.

Looking forward to hearing some other songs from them...maybe even a nice sappy slow song (haha...I am a horribly, wicked sap...sorry.)

Okay, I've got to clarify a bit... I was teasing about the other gentlemen in the band, hence the 'razz'... But you've got to admit that it's quite impressive that in just over the span of 24 hours, that song has been played so much and they're at the point of no longer taking requests to be friends on My Space now. Very Happy I think it's awesome. Also, personally, I think "A Change Is Gonna Come" by Sam Cooke is the greatest song ever... Wink

I'm happy that Carmine finally did get to work on forming a band and gelling so well with them to do the song. I can't wait to see what's next from them.

I defend my opinion about the movie with the fact that I'm more into adreneline driven/loud/action movies. Smile So, I had to fast forward. Laughing

I'm not that crazy about the song myself, but I love rock music, but this song just doesn't do it for me. Embarassed

Your not the only one neither who hasn't seen the movie as I haven't neither. I only saw a tiny piece of it from a video on Carmine's site.

As for BSB, I'll back you up too and I'm a BSB fan myself too Razz

Rellaaaa, it's nice to see you in here. Smile

Leta, you're a girl I could hang with, since action movies and Sam Cooke are two of your faves. I dare say the Crew ladies have great taste. Wink I'm partial to Percy Sledge "When a Man Loves a Woman" and anything by Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett or Tommy Dorsey, at least as far as classics go.

BTW, my friend, I know you were teasing! What's really funny is that all these girls were talking about signing up for MySpace merely so they could "friend" the band. OK, that sounds weird to me, and makes me feel my age, man. I don't have MySpace, LiveJournal or anything like that, and I wouldn't do it just to "meet" a band, celebrity, author, athlete, etc. That's just bordering on crazy, IMO. I mean ... come on. If you want a site, then do it for yourself.

Hi girls, god i havent been on here for ages! How ive missed you all and what can i say!!...lol A lot has been happening!!
Laughing
I was actually surprised how much i liked the song to be honest. I think Carmine is a great actor, but i wasnt too sure how his music would turn out, i know his trailer sounded good, but that was only 30sec or so, so i couldnt really tell, but their song is actuallly good! So thumbs up to them and i hope that they are successful in their music, for their music and NOT just because of who they are.

I did send a private message on myspace to Ceesau, i was a memeber ages ago, but just couldnt be bothered with it too be honest (so i didnt just sign up because of them!! lol hehe). I just wanted to say that the song was actually good and to keep up, as im sure that they will do well.

I got a response the next day, which was really nice, not sure which of the three that wrote it, but i dont care, it was just nice to get a response back from them, as i wasnt wasnt expecting anything back, i just wanted to tell them that they are doing a fine job!! lol Very Happy

I added them to myspace, but not to send private messages and so. It's more for getting update on their music, but I have a feeling I won't get much as I am hardly on myspace anymore.

Gimme livejournal anyday over myspace though Laughing

I'm the exact same way. I've had it for a while now, but it was just to keep in touch with my close friend who didn't have a cell and was away at college, and for my other close friend who moved out to California and it was easier (and cheaper) to keep in touch through that than calling and sending letters.

I think I only go on it now if I get an email saying someone spammer wants to be my friend. I sometimes get stuck on it if it's late at night and can't sleep, but that's for, maybe, 10 minutes at most.

But yeah, I added 'em. I wouldn't mind finding out quickly if they came out with some new stuff.

I'm the quiet type, so I don't think I'll ever get around to messaging them, though. Lol.

K!!! It's nice to see you back also. The board's beginning to show signs of life again. Laughing

See, you all had MySpace and other sites for yourself! That's what is so cool about the net. The point I was making was that some individuals were joining after the song came out just to add the band. I think ya'll rock, IMO. Cool

Speaking of rock ... back on topic. (I'm a bad mod for doing so much OT chat. I'm slapping my own hand now.) When (not if) Ceesau releases a CD, do you think you'll buy it?

That's something I so wouldn't do. Laughing

Your not a bad mod for doing OT chats and OT chats happen everywhere. I think your a good mod.

I'm not sure yet and it would depend on the songs if I like them. I can't tell it yet by just hearing the one song on myspace yet Sad I need to hear more before I can make an decision.

Normally, I implement my 'release three good singles and then I purchase' rule when buying CD's. More times than once, I've bought CD's based on the first single only to be disappointed by the rest of the CD. My other gripe is when artists release too many versions of the song. Evil or Very Mad Take Christina Aguilera and her first album... There were 4 different versions of "What A Girl Wants" and I bought the CD based on my fondness of the song I saw on tv. I didn't know that was the (Video Version) and not the (Album Version). Same album did that with "Come On Over".

Oh! I have to answer that question, right? Laughing For Ceesau, I may put that rule aside and buy it. Of course, that's kind of rooted in my bias because I adore Carmine and I'll support anything positive that he's doing. Very Happy

I've had this experience also, but the one exception was Lonestar's "Lonely Grill" CD. I bought it for one song, and the rest grew on me. Now I love that CD. Yes, it's country. Don't shoot me. Rolling Eyes

See, I might buy the one song online, but there must be minimum two good singles (Leta said three for her) for me to invest $$$ in the CD. Yes, I'm a dinosaur in that I still buy the actual CD. There's just something about having the tangible object in my hot little hands. Plus, the CD sounds better, IMO. I won't even discuss my record collection. That's really going to show my age. Laughing Laughing

I'm a wicked country fan...kind of odd considering where I'm from...(Gary Allan and Rascal Flatts are, so far, the only country artists where I enjoy a CD from the first song to the last.) but Lonely Grill has more songs than I expected to like on it. But, like I said...I'm a wicked sap...that's kind of why I usually don't go for the other, faster country songs.

But I agree, usually there has to be a few good songs on a CD before I'll go and buy it. I'll usually hear one song, then go and preview the rest of the CD on Itunes before deciding to buy it. If not, I usually end up just buying that one song.

And PrettyEyes, there is really just something about have that CD in your hands....it makes me feel my money has been well spent! Even though I'll buy it, get it onto my Ipod, then store it away in a box up in my closet....but still... Laughing
.....And I noticed that I had written "if" they come out with more songs....that definetly should have been a "when". Oops Smile

I made the rule that I wouldn't buy an album here for one song and they charge 20 euros for it and some DVD's are even cheaper here. Shocked I

Usually when an album also comes out they have little previews of 30 seconds, which is enough for me most of the time.

I'm exactly like you and I keep in touch with a few people on there too and that's why I got it.

The spammers annoy me and you should see the weird people I get requests from. I'm like "go away"

I'm more on livejournal than I ever will be on myspace and livejournal has anything that the graphic maker in me needs.
