Maybe since Lindsay is 'free' to date Danny, I'll try to give her a chance. Maybe things will get better. Wishful thinking & fatigue are not a good mix But so help me, if she sucks... I'm done.

Amen! I am not too against D/L to give it a chance if they can make it better....

You're right. They should only 'attack' the actor if they think the actor is completely the problem. I admit, I have cringed watching some of L's scenes, but I am still trying to determine if it is the writing or the acting?! It is sometimes hard for me to decipher b/t the two (especially since this is the first season I have watched and the only thing I have seen Anna in)

You guys have all made excellent points, btw.

I still think the whole D/L thing should be in the background. In a forensics show, if they are going to have romance, they should not have it in the forefront. Of course, this is coming from someone who hates sappy girly/girl movies and shows. Wink

'kay, here's my take.

I mentioned in the writers thread that another show I used to be really into had this whole thing chemistry thing going on between two of the lead characters, but nothing ever happened between them, which left a rebel bunch of fan fiction writers including myself to spread the word of Ambexism. The more and more authors that wrote, the more the cult spread and soon the writers were paying attention and gave us little hints in episodes later in the show that there still could be something there which added fuel to the fire.

While Danny and Lindsey are not Amber and Lex, I would still like to see them get together for a short while, if only for the fact that I would love to see how the writers deal with writing such storylines. I mean at the minute Mac's dating Peyton and she comes and goes, but Lindsey and Danny are key characters and obviously it's always going to be in our faces.

I suppose if it was written well, it would eventually fade into the background and the focus between the two characters would return to the job of forensics. I still love the fact that she show does deal with forensics and while I can understand that maybe some people are peeved off with the whole shipping, it's ineveitable (sp?) that the writers are going to want to pair someone up.

We're seeing another side of Danny at the minute. While he's still a bit of a hothead at times, he's also showing his softer side towards Lindsey, which I like. I think that it's a nice balance. However, I do agree that the writers should get this out of their system and return to showing Danny how we all know and love him and delve into his darker side. Personally, I'd love to know more about his connection with Mac and how he came to work for the team. I'm referring to a comment mentioned in On The Job when Mac tells Danny that he was told not to give Danny a job, but took a chance on the unknown kid.

So at the minute, seeing as we've yet to get to later season three episodes here in England - though I've been naughty and downloaded Sleight of Hand from I-tunes -, I'm gonna wait until I download and watch the next episode to be aired in the US to make a definate decision as to whether I'm for or against. I'm intrigued to know what will become of NYPD's star-crossed duo but I'm also anxious to see if one more rejection will cause Danny to do bad things once again.

I agree with you - the actors are only the persons who play whats written in the script. So the writers of these scripts are responsible for that what the actor "plays" or acts.... and they aren't responsible for what the character is like... they just play them ... in anyway the actors are just the "dolls" of these shows.... if they aren't a producer too like gary sinise in CSI:NY.... so no one should attack them

I completely blame the writers NOT the actors. I have never seen Anna in anything else, so like i said before, i cannot judge her at all on her acting.

I have to confess, im wasnt a fan of the 'Love saga' between Danny and Lindsay as you know, but i watched the little bit of the courtroom (i think i have said this before) and yes i was sucked in and thought it was sweet of Danny to act on his instincts and go and see Lindsay and at the end even i was thinking go on, kiss her, kiss her!! lol

Like Lozza said, us Brits are only a little bit into season 3, so im going to leave my thoughts open and see if i get it!the DL thing!

So who knows, even a hard nosed, stubborn person like me, maybe falling for the DL thing?! Laughing

Not since watching the finale of Conviction on Five US did I mentally scream kiss her dammit at the computer monitor so much. In fact I was quite lucky I didn't say the other things I felt when I'd finished watching the eppie because the air would have been blue and I don't think that the eelderly neighbours next door would have been please. Shocked

Hiya carmine-fixx - I found that months ago during one of my late night trawls through YouTube. I love the song infact I've downloaded several songs that have been used on the MV's there for Danny/Danny & Lindsey/ Danny & Don and have them on my media player on my moby. I have to say I quite like the video but have got over my compulsion to see it after I watched the season finale.

I'm still half and half, but I like the MV's, they're pretty cool.

I'm DL to the nth degree. However, I know the "kiss of death" for a TV couple is the consummation of the relationship.

"OK, we've established a couple. Let's rip 'em apart in a really tragic/explosive/enter-your-own-adjective-here way. We'll promo the heck out of it, and viewers will flock to their TVs to watch. The ratings will go through the roof, and corporations will beg us to accept their commercial advertising dollars."

Oh, but wait ... who is character X going to be in a relationship with next? He/she's already been with the entire cast. Time to bolster the cast roster and bring in the guest stars. Rolling Eyes
