I'm really hoping we delve back into his past. I just know that there's something really really dark and dirty hiding in Danny's past, worse than the Tanglewood boys or his family's connections to the mob - I bet it's something that no-one would even guess, not even Mac who's his mentor.
I did have a thought about this 'distraction' of Danny's and thought that it could be related to one of his past girlfriends. Maybe we're gonna get a hint of Cindy being back on the scene or some women turning up and dumping a baby on him. That would be an interesting side to the character me thinks. And that would pretty much end the D/L stuff. Or maybe it's just another women. Angell perhaps? _________________

No offense, but Danny Messer as a daddy has me LMAO big-time ! He'd probably be begging for help, like that movie "Three Men and a Baby." If you're not old enough to remember, two words: clueless men. Honestly, I don't see Lindsay leaving Danny, since they just got together. After all they went through, I honestly don't see the writers just dropping it like a hot potato. JMO |
I totally love Three Men and a Little Baby. But come on, it would be hilarious if they ever gave him a child. Danny would probably be worse than all three of the guys in the movie and probably funnier (if that could ever happen) than Sonny from Big Daddy.
Anyhoo, as much as it pains me after reading the spoilers over at Talk CSI, it doesn't look like the writers are going to drop the DL stuff. I have to admit that I've kept an open mind, but my curiosity got too much for me and I've been downloading the episodes and while they've not full on mentioned it, they've kinda made us think that there's been a conspiracy going on with Danny, Adam and Lindsey. I'll leave that there cause I don't want to give the rest away for the other Brits who are still watching on Five, but I'm interested to find out how the season will end and whether or not we'll be left wondering if the DL thing will continue next season. _________________

I doubt the whole Danny/Lindsay things is dropped anytime soon, judging by what Anthony Zuicker said.
I hope they keep it in the background.
As for the remaining episodes,I hope they give some info on how louie is cause it seems that that storyline has gone up in smoke and it is time for some Danny drama

I think Danny could give Sonny a run for his $$$ as Big Daddy. Could you just imagine what that poor child would learn from Danny, Flack, Hawkes, Adam and Sid? Actually, Hawkes, Mac, Stella and Montana would have to undo all the lessons taught to the kid.
"No, you don't just pee on a random sidewalk ... I don't care what your Daddy taught you!" (Stella aside: Mac, smack Danny upside the head for me please!)

I'm probably in the minority, again, but I like DL and personal storylines for all NY main characters. That aspect seemed to breathe a different dynamic into the show. Before the personal, the show's science stifled creativity and led to, dare I say, boredom; now there's an emotional outlet that showcases a different acting style for the actors.

I honestly couldn't decipher if you're implying that Adam likes Lindsay or what. However, considering the fact that DL exist as partners, colleagues, support system and friends leads me to believe that Adam doesn't stand a chance in Hades. _________________

Lol. I could just imagine this perfectly normal kid being taught the ways of the world by Danny and Flack and antomy from Sid. Of course they kid would grow up totally mentally screwed from having to listen to endless tales of DBs Flack's isms. I seriously don't think that Stella or Lindsey would be able to undo such bad parenting. Mac would probably start profiling the kid just in case.

I do like bits and bobs of it, particulary the earlier episodes where there was the whole chemistry thing between the two characters. And I've still got an open mind towards it, but I think that the novelty has worn off a little bit, particulary now that it's been put on the back burner until the season finale. While I'm glad that the actors have been able to do something different and explore this their characters on a whole new level, I feel that we've had it pushed at us a little bit too much, rather than letting the views wonder if the chemistry between the two would lead somewhere and letting our imaginations wonder.
I love the way NY is such a personalised show in the respect that up until the show started, we never actually say any of the LV or Miami characters get personally involved with the other characters. I mean, we had the Greg thing for Sara pretty much from day one. But you could really see where things were going when Warick got married and Catherine was a little bit jealous. And I mean now we've got H and Delko on a personal vendetta to avenge Marisol's death in Miami. I like the way that NY's counterparts are catching on to this, and I think as a viewer when things get stale, it's always good to have a new take on things. But then, I suppose on the same token, with NY, we jumped straight into personal relationships between characters and personal background, and sorta vyed from what the show is meant to be about - solving crimes and forensic science.

Nah, what I meant was that in episode 19 - Daze of Wine and Roaches - there's a scene between Lindsey, Danny and Adam in which Lindsey says to Danny - 'We are more than buffelo burgers and beer'. At which point, Danny shoots Adam this look as if to say 'That's my girl' and Adam returns his look with a sly smile. Which lead a lot of fans to believe that there was a definate conspiracy going on between the three friends. Because other than the ending scenes in Sleight of Hand, we have yet to see Danny and Lindsey get almost to the point of snogging the faces off of each other. This in turns makes people wonder if they are actually a couple in the background or whether or not they are just staying friends - re Lindsey's Love Run Cold sanctions. _________________
