nice one Rellaaaa Very Happy great job hehe

Ok people, this is what i have written... i jus sat and let my fingers to do the talking:

Dear CBS

What with all the Emmy submissions that are coming up with in the next few weeks, i would like you to open your eyes regarding a Great actor, and an excellent show.

As a viewer, thousands of miles away, i find myself dissapointed every year at the lack of advertising and Support from yourselves for CSI:NY. This show, although the 'baby' of the CSI franchise, is becoming extremely popular by the episode amongst people - just look at the viewing figures you recieve every week. without fail, CSI:NY manages to top its slot! This show deserves the same amount of love you show to both Las Vegas and Miami, Yet it gets nothing close.
Now, seeing as the Emmy's are fast approaching, I - like many other CSI:NY fans, im sure - would like for NY to be nominated. Throw it in there and let it get the attention and love that is deserves!

The Great actor that i am referring to, is Mr Carmine Giovinazzo. This guy... he is an asset to CSI:NY. without him, I feel there would be no CSI:NY. The way Carmine portrays Danny Messer is just Unique. He gives Danny the authenticity that makes Danny who he is. I have never seen an actor carry off such a character in any other way than he does. The amount of chemistry that he eminates between the other characters and himself is amazing. He can go from playing around with Flack, Flirting with Lindsay, to being extremely serious when he needs to be - I.E 'Raising Shane'. At the end of this episode, Danny Messer was willing to risk his life for a fellow colleague, and i found it extremely touching. Yes, Danny Messer can be a hot head at times, and also a little out of line, but he does what he thinks is right. Thats why Carmine plays Danny Messer excellently.
I feel that Carmine is a great actor, and he shines above the great Gary Sinise in what he does. He is a very talented young man, who definately deserves this Emmy. Support him the way he supports you while on AND off the set.

Please please please Put Carmine Giovinazzo on the Nominations list for best actor / supporting actor. For all the hard work he has done on CSI:NY - taking part in promotional tours, and interviews - let him and 'CSI:NY' have some glory this year!! Put some $$ behind advertising him and get his face on the billboards!!! Danny Messer is an extremely important character within CSI:NY and there is so much love for Carmine, that you can find him everywhere on the net! Back Carmine 110% and let him know that he is definately worth that Emmy this year!!!!
lets hope you can do him justice!

Ever faithful to CSI:NY;

Chelle Acott.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Anyone else wanna hare their submission?!>!

Hi girls! Just thought I'd drop by an give you an update on the Carmine Emmy project. CBS did not submit him for Emmy consideration. Crying or Very sad

I want to thank you all for your participation. Even if CBS didn't do as we asked, showing them the level of support Carmine has from his fans is always a great thing. Hopefully we got them thinking about Carmine and the show a bit more.

The only member of the CSI franchise getting any love this Emmy season is Marg Helgenberger from CSI.

There is perhaps one small glimmer of last hope for Carmine this season. Based on the 5/16/07 air date of the finale, which spoilers indicate is a pretty Danny-heavy episode, the finale would qualify for the late submission deadline of 5/31/07. I'll keep you posted, but that's a long shot. While it looks like a fantastic episode, what Danny goes through isn't really Emmy material.

But thank you again to all of you for your help with this project. Carmine is tremendously talented and blessed with a truly fantastic fan base. Maybe if the writing is there for him next season, we can try this again.

What a shame. I really hoped that Carmine would get the recognition he deserves from CBS - they haven't a clue what they're missing. However, I personally feel proud to have been a part of the campaign and I'll keep my fingers crossed for a change of heart after the season finale. Even if we aren't successful with the final cut-off, at least we can say that we stepped up to the plate and supported Carmine regardless - which is more than many fans do.

hey MrsG thanks for keeping us updated!
it is such a shame that CBS didnt submit Carmine Sad he totally deserves to be nominated!
It was so much fun rallying around to get people tp participate, and i think Carmine and his family would be proud! Very Happy
What exactly did Marg Helgenberger do to get an emmy nomination? (No offence!) but i really havent noticed anything about her that i think should qualify... Confused

And im totally in agreement with you Lozza! almost every fan i know has participated, and I feel proud that i could have been a part of this - Its just a shame that CBS STILL havent woke up and smelt the coffee and realized just how great Carmine really is! Very Happy

Rellaaaa bought this to my attention (she was too shy to post it) Razz and I'm just wondering if CBS submitted a tape of Carmine to the Emmy's after all. According to the LA Times, or a forum sponsored by it, Carmine Giovinazzo is amongst the list of about one hundred other men who have had tapes submitted of their work.

There's the link:

http://goldderbyforums.latimes.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/1106078764/m/53610293/p/1

You have to scroll down or do a search on the page, but his name is there. So, I'm wondering if he was in deed submitted to be considered for the nomination or not. I mean, there was that second deadline and I'm still holding on to the glimmer of hope... Wink

Yes, he was submitted for consideration by the second deadline. Very Happy

CBS did their part for now. At this point, it's up to a committee within the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences to select the nominees from among the lengthy list of submissions they received. If Carmine is selected as a nominee, we'll need to write to CBS again and urge them to really put their advertising dollars into supporting Carmine. The networks launch major advertising campaigns targeted at the Emmy voters and CBS has been known to be cheap in this area. We'll need to let them know how important Carmine is and ask that they promote him with all they've got.

Thanks to all you who wrote to CBS in support of this project. Carmine has some fantastic fans!

Hey MrsG! Nice to see you here, woman. Very Happy

I've bolded the most important part of your quote. It's not enough for CBS to submit their actors for nomination consideration. If those talents are selected, CBS must remember where their bread is buttered and dish out some $$$$$ for PR campaigns. The CSIs are responsible for the network's fortunes as of late, and it's disgraceful to win sweeps on the backs of your stellar shows and have them be shut out of the Emmys for lack of PR. Evil or Very Mad

OT: Perhaps they could build up the PR fund by getting out of the race for Rosie O'Donnell's next network home. Wink
