I had a dream about my Dad last night. He died in December 1996, so in a little under a month it will be 11 years.
I've been a little down because I can't remember his voice. Yeah, okay ... it's a small thing. I know. However, I just wish I could hear his voice, you know.
So, in my dream I was standing in my cousin's kitchen for Christmas dinner. Suddenly Dad turned around and passed me a platter to put on the table. What? Are you kidding me? Then he said, "Merry Christmas, kid. I love you." I've never been so happy and sad in my life as when I woke up. I was able to hear, and remember, my Daddy's voice.
Isn't the subconscious a strange thing?

If I wasn't going to be specializing in autism, I think that would probably be the next thing I'd go into. Some of the ways the brain works just fascinates me.
And I agree with Leta...it was great that it just came to you after being concerned with not remembering it.

Let me know if you get hired at UCLA's hospital. My friend's going to be spending quite a bit of time there, and I'll be driving her. If you're going to be there, then I'll come stalk you, my friend!!! I haven't been there in 20 years, so I'll be wandering the halls reacquainting myself with the layout. |
You've got a couple years to get reacquanted before I even show up. I wouldn't be moving out until December 2010/January 2011. Then you can come and stalk me all you'd like

Okay, this isn't a dream and I'm sure that by now, most everyone knows that I'm just an oddball. I just have an observation and while it would be nice to have someone sympathize with me or even validate it, some things I have just rationalized as being something that is just me.
Like, am I the only person who checks out people's feet?
I'm a bit a prude about my own, making sure they're baby soft and always manicured; home and professional. BUT in the event where people are around me and they have on sandals, flip flops/thongs or are barefoot, I can't help but to notice. It's not a fetish as I don't get aroused by feet, but I just give feet a once over whenever they're exposed.
I confess all this because... Well, I've noticed that Carmine has cute feet and that one pic from OK Magazine, where he's playing the guitar with those shoes on just drew my attention.
Now, I will just sit back and crack up at how many people are going to go to those pics and look at his purdy toes. Or, you can check them out in Fallen Arches too.

Wanna know something weird? Everytime I post something on this board, I see it repeated on another message board, except I didn't put it on that board. Does that make sense?
I'm flattered that the points I've chosen to make here and for the members of the Crew to read/laugh at/ponder/respond to have made their way to other boards in the form of other people's original thought. Tough job I have here.
I must start elaborating and posting more on my thoughts of Carmine and CSI:NY more, for the greater good of other message boards. What else would there be for people to say if I didn't say it for them first.
Yes, sarcasm is one of my most favorite talents... But PMS is my friend..._________________

Is it just me or has Richard Marx made a ton of money writing songs using the same melody?
I was listening to “Dance With My Father” by Luther Vandross and “This I Promise You” by *NSYNC came to mind.
I researched this theory a little bit more and “Right Here Waiting For You” came to mind.
What do all these songs have in common? You got it!
Richard Marx…
He wrote all them and they all sound alike to me. It's one thing to have a "sound", it's another thing to be repetitious. That’s not that I don’t love any of the songs. I love sappy, weepy songs. It's just something I noticed.
